Standing

How standing works

Each entry shows its charter, program approvals and public record, each linked to the official source. Lenders see anything new on their entry first and can reply.

Commercial financing disclosure laws now reach most nonbank lenders, so the register tracks them for lenders and the owners who borrow from them.

Four status levels

Listed1 of 4

Listed

A lender appears when a public record confirms it: a charter, a program list or a business filing. Only basic facts show.

Claimed2 of 4

Claimed

Once the lender confirms its entry from its own domain and opens a free Levr account, it adds its deal profile, fees and loan officers.

Verified3 of 4

Verified

The lender is active with its regulator and shows funded business loans in the last twelve months. The badge carries the year.

Program approved4 of 4

Approved

SBA lender status, CDFI certification or CSBFP participation on file, linked to the program's own record.

What an entry can show

CharterCharter, linkedBanks link to their FDIC or OCC record, credit unions to NCUA, and Canadian lenders to their federal or provincial regulator.
Program approvalProgram approvals, linkedSBA lenders, CDFIs and CSBFP lenders link to the program record. We call a lender approved only when that record confirms it.
Public recordBusiness profile and recordBusiness status, regulator actions and BBB profile details appear as their sources present them. The lender is told first and can reply beside the record.

How sorting works

Lists sort by status, then by how recently each entry was checked. Within a status, loan officers who answer requests quickly sort higher. Payment never changes placement, and there is nothing to buy.

The match weighs the loan type, amount, place and industry in your request against each lender's appetite, then gives extra weight to standing. Payment plays no part.

Wording rules

  • Charters link to the regulator's record.
  • Program approvals link to the program's record.
  • Public records appear as the source gives them, with the date we checked, never summarized or scored.
  • Lenders and loan officers are told before anything beyond basic facts appears, and can reply.
  • Personal emails and mobile numbers never appear. Only business lines and work emails.
  • Status rises only on evidence. Paid placement does not exist.

Questions lenders ask

Can I see what will appear before it goes live?

Yes. Anything beyond basic facts reaches you first, and your reply shows beside the record.

Something on my entry is wrong. How do I fix it?

Claim the entry and edit it, or email a correction with a source link. We check the source and update.

Can I remove my entry or my profile?

Lenders can ask to remove an entry and we review every request. Loan officers can remove their own profile at any time.

Do lenders on Levr get a better place?

No. Levr runs the register, and lenders on Levr follow the same listing and sorting rules as everyone else.
