Who lends it and what they look for

Factoring companies buy your unpaid invoices at a discount and pay most of the value within a day or two. Some banks and asset based lenders run factoring desks for larger accounts. Because the factor collects from your customer, it underwrites your customer's credit and payment history more than your own balance sheet, which opens factoring to young and fast growing businesses. Expect to send an aging report, sample invoices, proof of delivery and your customer list.
